Before you scan.

Is the audit real or a demo?

The website audit fetches your public HTML and runs the checks shown in your report. The optional example report is explicitly labelled and uses fictional data. If a page can’t be reached, you’ll see an error rather than invented results.

Is the readiness score my AI ranking?

No. It measures a weighted set of technical website checks. The separate AI citation check measures whether your domain appears among sources in a disclosed sample of buyer answers. Neither metric predicts your ranking or how many customers you will get.

Which AI systems do you check?

Live checks use one configured web-enabled model through OpenAI or OpenRouter. Each report names the provider and model, and shows the actual answers and citations. We do not claim to reproduce ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Google’s consumer app results.

Will you make changes to my website?

The audit reads public pages. The Shopify connection beta can update product search titles and descriptions after you review and approve the exact change. It saves the original for undo during the connection session. Other website fixes remain recommendations for your web team.

What happens to my information?

Audit sessions are retained for up to one hour. A downloaded report stays on your device. Optional AI checks send your category and target market to the provider. Early-access enquiries are stored so the team can reply. See the data notice below for details.

Can you check a site that needs a login?

We scan public webpages only, and respect the scanner’s robots.txt permissions. Private networks, sign-in pages, blocked sites, and websites that require JavaScript may not provide enough evidence for a useful audit.

When you request an audit, this service fetches up to eight public webpages plus robots.txt and sitemap.xml. Do not submit private, confidential or login-only addresses. URL query strings are removed before fetching.

Public audit sessions are retained for up to one hour, then removed. Signed-in workspace reports and task notes persist until deletion is requested. Supabase verifies customer sign-in and Stripe manages subscriptions; Citequay stores account and billing references, not card numbers. IP-based abuse counters are also held temporarily. Hosting infrastructure may separately record request logs. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views without analytics cookies. Analytics events exclude URL query strings, fragments, email addresses and audit contents. We use no advertising trackers. Shopify connections use an essential, secure session cookie and encrypted access tokens, retained for up to one hour. Product edit originals and approval records expire with the session. Clicking a Google Maps link or loading an optional embedded map contacts Google.

If you run an AI citation check, the business category and market you confirm are sent to the named provider. That provider’s own data policies apply. Your enquiry email is not included in AI prompts. If you separately request a business review, the public page extracts and audit findings are sent to the provider for evidence-linked analysis.

Early-access enquiries store your name, email, optional website, chosen plan, consent timestamp and, when available, your audit summary. These are used to respond to your request, not to activate a subscription. On the hosted service, enquiry records expire after 90 days unless removed sooner. Local development records are removed manually.

This is a prelaunch build. A support contact must be configured before public launch.

About this service

Citequay’s free beta checks publicly accessible website information. Scan only websites you own, manage, or have permission to assess. Do not use the scanner to access private systems, evade restrictions, or overload websites.

Results reflect the pages and provider responses available at the time of the check. Technical checks are heuristic, not a full technical, security or SEO audit. A missing signal on the checked pages does not prove it is absent everywhere.

Readiness scores and citation samples do not guarantee search visibility, recommendations, revenue, or customer acquisition. AI responses vary by model, location, prompt and time. Review all generated drafts before publishing them.

Creating a workspace or registering interest does not create a payment obligation. A paid subscription requires a separate Stripe Checkout and confirmed subscription status. The dashboard lists the included features and allowances; scheduled monitoring and managed services are not included.
